“I’m curious to how similar or different my process (and result) was to others. Were other people more efficient at chopping the vegetables? Did they eat pig-in-a-blankets, or pigs-in-blankets, as an appetizer? Other appetizers? Did they remember to put the carrot in, and if so, at what point in the process?
Were their lentils mushier than mine, or was their soup saltier, or were their brussel(s) sprouts less brown, and was I the only one that cut himself?

I put cranberry sauce on my (2) biscuits; what did other people put on theirs? Were we listening to the same Nina Simone album? Even if we all started at six, did we all sit down to eat at the same time? (I started late, but maybe I wasn’t the only one.) How long did other people remain at the dinner table? Did anyone get in a fight? Who told the best joke?

And I can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow for breakfast, or lunch, depending on how sleepy I am.”
